I have an old version of ATPdigital. Can I get a free subscription to BGSonline?

The free subscription to BGSonline applies only to new ATPdigital users (excluding PPL). However, as an ATPdigital user you are eligible for an upgrade to the latest version of ATPdigital including a 12 month subscription to BGSonline (excluding PPL) for just £285 (price correct April 2022). To apply for your upgrade, please visit our online shop.

I’m an ATPdigital user and my BGSonline subscription has run out.

As an ATPdigital user (excluding PPL) you are entitled to 12 months’ free access to BGSonline from the date that you enrolled on the course. After that period you can purchase an extension to your subscription. Just log onto BGSonline as normal and go to my account. You will get a 50% discount for your first renewal.

Do I have to be online all the time to use BGSonline?

If you are a student of Bristol Groundschool (BGS) or one of BGS’s many client schools, you will have access to ATPdigital, BGS’s industry leading computer based training software. The question and answer database in ATPdigital is identical to this online database and may be used offline. If you are not an ATPdigital user, you will need to stay connected to use this service. You may purchase access to ATPdigtal, even if you are studying with another school. Contact info@bristol.gs who will be able to help you.

I think a question or answer is incorrect. What should I do?

Some of the questions and answer choices are ambiguous. This is how they appear in the exams, so we have resisted the temptation to improve them. If you would like to have a question explained to you please contact us and we can put you in touch with a Bristol Groundschool Subject Matter Expert.

Can I use BGSonline on my smartphone or tablet?

Yes. There is no app to download; just go to the normal URL, www.bgsonline.eu. If you are using an iPhone or iPad, you need to be running iOS 12 or later in order for the software which runs the tests on the site to work correctly

Why is there a difference between the % of questions I get correct and my exam score?

In the official EASA examinations questions are allocated marks, answers to some questions are worth more than others. This means that it is possible to answer more than 75% of the number of questions correctly but still fail the exam, as your score is below 75%. We follow the same rules, so very often the % of questions answered correctly and the score % are different figures.

How do I extend my question bank subscription?

Just go to your account; you can sign-up for an extended period there either before or after your subscription has expired. You will be able to login and access your account even if your subscription has expired. The extended period will run from the end of your current subscription if that has not yet expired.

Can someone else share or access my account?

No; your user agreement prohibits multiple user access; your account is for your personal use only. Please don’t be tempted to try and abuse this; we’d hate to have to suspend your account. If you are a flight school and want to get access for your students, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

How do I access BGSonline if I have forgotten my account username or password?

Go to the homepage and click on the ‘Forgotten your details?’ link at the bottom of the page. If you are still having issues please contact our support department – [email protected] who will be able to help.

I can log in at home but not at work.

Occasionally our students come across this problem. It is usually caused by your system administrators at work blocking access to certain types of websites. Contact them and ask them to make an exception for you.

Can I print questions or answers?

Sorry, this is not possible.

How do I change my email address for my question bank account?

This can be done within BGSonline. Once you’ve logged in, click the dropdown menu in the top right and select ‘My Profile’. There you can edit your account details.

ATPL Question Bank
